I was born in the Royal North
Shore hospital on the 27th of March, 1986 (in Sydney, Australia, for those
non New South Welsh people) where I was, in fact, the smallest baby in the
ward, but had 'the lungs that could scream a thousand screams', need I say
more?

I lived in Sydney for a good 2 months before
we were transferred to Melbourne of all places, where I have lived most of
my life. Melbourne can be described in three words: grey, rain, depressing.
I remember my mum telling me when the Bicentennial was on in Sydney in 1988
(100 years of Aussie federation), watching it on TV in her dreary home in
Melbourne, with the rain lashing outside looking at Sydney, sunny, clear and
happy with celebration just made her (and all the other Sydney residents in
Melbourne) scream... .

Melbourne, we moved again to Brisbane in the Sunshine State, where we lived
for only a year and a half, before moving to Singapore in 1996, five years
ago now. |
